The Hotel Splendide Royale is situated in the Via Veneto area, on a hill directly above the historic centre of Rome with magnificent views out over the green gardens of Villa Borghese.
The exclusive shops and designer boutiques of Rome’s fashion industry are just a few steps away in the legendary Piazza di Spagna and Via dei Condotti, whilst the parkland of Villa Borghese offers guests the opportunity to explore over 80 hectares of uncontaminated nature, in which to discover the most beautiful fountains (there are a total of 35 exquisite works) and statues and admire the masterpieces of Canova and Caravaggio to name just two of the famous artists whose work one finds in the Galleria Borghese.
Within easy reach one finds the National Gallery of Modern Art, Piazza di Siena – site of the prestigious equestrian event – and the Globe theatre, directed by Gigi Proietti and replica of the London theatre dedicated to Shakespeare.
A stroll through the historic centre leads visitors to an infinite number of monuments and tourist attractions; whilst for those choosing to hop onto the Linea A of the city underground at the nearby Piazza Barberini station, the treasures of the Vatican city are just moments away.
